What our work can achieve.
These anonymised examples show how advice, contract reviews, premium comparisons and structured claims support can make a practical difference.
Real cases from our daily work.
Portfolio review: around EUR 1,350 saved each year
Three motor liability policies were clearly overpriced. A separate household policy was also unnecessary because both households were already covered under the existing contract.
Our work
We compared the market, checked the home and household cover and removed the duplicate insurance.
Outcome in this case
Around EUR 1,000 less for the motor policies and a further EUR 350 saved by correcting the household cover.
Flood damage: EUR 8,000 paid
After heavy rain, a customer’s basement was flooded. The policy covered flooding up to EUR 8,000 but excluded a mere rise in groundwater.
Our work
We explained the distinction, prepared a factual claim notification and described the circumstances without prejudging the cause.
Outcome in this case
The flood cover was accepted and the agreed maximum benefit was paid.
Storm damage to a flat roof: support through to payment
A storm damaged a drainage pipe and moisture subsequently affected the building and interior walls.
Our work
We coordinated the repair company, estimate and inspection with the insurer’s expert.
Outcome in this case
The claim was accepted and around EUR 6,000 was paid.
Flood claim: bringing different assessments together
A specialist contractor estimated the repairs at around EUR 8,000, while the insurer’s expert initially assessed only around EUR 4,000.
Our work
We discussed the case with all parties and arranged for both the assessment and the contractor’s calculation to be reviewed.
Outcome in this case
The positions moved closer and a settlement of around EUR 7,000 was reached.
Ski accident: benefit paid despite an initially negative assessment
After a serious injury, permanent impairment was possible. The customer was initially told that no private accident benefit was likely.
Our work
We reviewed the documents, requested the necessary medical assessment and supported the further handling.
Outcome in this case
Permanent disability was established and the agreed benefit was paid.
Motorcycle accident: considering all claims
After a collision, the recently purchased motorcycle was a total loss. Personal injury and damaged protective equipment also had to be considered.
Our work
We supported the complete third-party claim and included the vehicle damage, pain and suffering, helmet and clothing.
Outcome in this case
Total compensation of around EUR 16,500 was achieved.
Collision with an emergency vehicle: liability clarified quickly
A customer entered an intersection on green and collided with an emergency vehicle. Using her own comprehensive cover could have caused disadvantages.
Our work
We immediately secured a written witness statement and submitted the required documents to the other insurer.
Outcome in this case
Full liability was accepted within one week and 100% settlement was confirmed.
Term life insurance: a lower premium without a risky false statement
A customer had stopped smoking but had not yet met the tariff’s non-smoker period. An incorrect answer in the application could have endangered the benefit.
Our work
We advised a truthful smoker declaration and planned to review a cheaper conversion or new contract after the non-smoker period had been met.
Outcome in this case
The solution remained legally sound while preserving the possibility of a lower premium later.
Young family: costs and contract quality reassessed
Several new contracts created a total monthly premium of around EUR 500. Two long-term savings contracts with the same monthly premium showed substantial cost differences.
Our work
We analysed the contracts, compared costs, surrender values and long-term effects and helped reverse unnecessary contracts.
Outcome in this case
After five years, the less favourable contract would have had a surrender value around EUR 1,320 lower.
Legal expenses insurance: identifying the actual insured event
The relevant insured event may occur months or years before the dispute itself. Changes of insurer, waiting periods and prior cover make allocation difficult.
Our work
We analyse the first alleged breach, identify the responsible insurer and prepare the request for cover clearly and on time.
Outcome in this case
This can reveal cover options that may otherwise be overlooked.
The examples come from our advisory practice and have been anonymised. Results cannot be transferred to other cases. Benefits and savings depend on the contract, risk, loss circumstances and individual case.
