Frequently asked questions

Clear answers to recurring questions. Individual cover always depends on the specific policy and risk.

What does advice from an insurance broker cost?

For insurance contracts placed through the broker, the service is generally remunerated through the insurance premium. Special services are charged only on the basis of a transparent agreement.

Does SICHER mit HELM work with several insurers?

Yes. As an independent broker, we compare suitable solutions from several insurers and assess wording, exclusions and clauses as well as price.

Can you review existing policies?

Yes. We review sums insured, exclusions, deductibles, terms, overlaps and changes in your personal or business situation.

Do you also assist with claims?

Yes. We support you from the initial notification and document preparation through communication with the insurer to a transparent settlement.

Can insurance be purchased online?

Online purchase is possible, but it does not automatically replace professional review of policy wording, gaps in cover and claims practice.

What is the difference between a broker, an agent and bank advice?

A broker generally acts on the client’s side and can compare the market. Agents represent specific insurers; banks usually distribute selected partner products.

Why is policy wording important?

The contract is not just the policy schedule. Application, conditions, clauses, statutory rules and the risk description jointly determine cover.

How can I arrange an appointment?

Call +43 7474 23456 or email helm@sichermithelm.at. Personal appointments are available at our office in Euratsfeld.

What is the difference between outpatient and hospital cover?

Outpatient cover mainly concerns treatment outside hospital, such as private doctors, diagnostics and therapies. Hospital cover pays, depending on the policy, the additional cost of special-class or private hospital treatment. View private health insurance →

Level or decreasing term life cover – which is suitable?

A level sum often suits a stable family protection need. A decreasing sum may suit a reducing loan balance. Term and benefit pattern must be tailored to the actual need. View term life insurance →
